Imagine a website where an aspiring writer posts part of a script. It is downloaded and read by a director who wants to make the script into a short-film.
The director contacts the writer through Private Message and after sharing ideas, content and contacts, they decide to work together on making the film. Through the same site they win funding and also source the individuals and services that can help them realise their dream of getting this film made.
In fact, they hire the entire cast and crew through the site, including the perfect female lead who won the part after the director downloaded her show-reel which topped the Actors Charts for three months running.
Whilst listening to the MP3’s in the Music section, the editor finds a composer whose style complements the film. Utilising the Directory, the producer locates the musicians and studio facilities to record the soundtrack.
The film is finished on time (and on budget thanks to advice from industry experts they met through the Forum) and wins a film-festival, judged by eminent figures from the film industry and organised by the same website where the writer posted that script…
